David began breeding English Roses some fifty years ago by hybridising Old Roses with Modern Hybrid Teas and Floribundas. They combine the form of flower and rich fragrance of Old Roses with the repeat-flowering of the Modern Roses. The results created a horticultural stir and his famous rose gardens at Albrighton are now home to over 800 varieties attracting visitors from all over the world.
