Reader's Digest Book of Houseplants
Brimming with inspirational ideas and all the practical know-how you need to successfully grow plants indoors, the new Reader’s Digest Book of Houseplants has plenty of useful advice and lots of ideas.
A practical guide to year-round indoor gardening, the book has bright lively illustrations and is presented in an easy to follow format. There are four sections covering inspirations, basic care, plant selector and more plant ideas. The Plant selector section recommends more than 120 houseplants, with a colour photograph for each and specific information about care and maintenance. I particularly liked this section as information on each plant is comprehensive and gives facts such as temperature, humidity, watering light etc.
There is also plenty of information on exotic species such as orchids and bonsai. If you are the creative type or maybe want to experiment with containers or interesting ways to show your plants there is an excellent section on displaying houseplants.
If you are fed up with weedy brown spider plants that just keep dying or frustrated by plants that look great when you buy them but collapse to nothing within 2 weeks, then this is the book for you. In the houseplant care section there is advice on topics such as choosing a plant, watering, light levels, selecting pots, feeding and training plants.
For all plant lovers the Reader’s Digest Book of Houseplants is a good one for the bookshelf. Buy online through Amazon and make huge savings .....
