RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show
3rd- 8th July 2007
Show garden will showcase sustainable parking
Plant list
Recent reports from the RHS and RSPB identify that urban front gardens are being lost to paving in order to carry extra parking so it will be interesting to see the show garden at this year's RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show designed by Landscape Architect Alistair Bayford.

Alistair, who will be showing for the second time at the show, stressed that the garden is aimed at highlighting the importance front gardens have in contributing to storm water management and biodiversity: "23 Paved Green Terrace identifies a solution to the problem," explained Alistair. "Providing a sustainable 'designed' space, which considers the importance of habitat creation and reducing environmental impacts."
Featured products include Charcon EcoPave on CARO Supports and Lindum Grassfelt on Nidagravel stabilisation. Native hedging provided by Practicality Brown edges the garden which houses a G-Wiz electric car provided by Goin Green.
Since graduating from Writtle College with a First Class BSc(Hons) Degree in Landscape and Garden Design in 2004, he has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture at the University of Greenwich in 2006. He is now an Associate of the Landscape Institute.
