Most exciting garden you've designed yet? A memorial garden at the Greater Manchester Police training school, comprising of a central memorial surounded by four sections representing 'Peace', 'Courage', 'Protection' and 'Compassion'

What inspires you about each garden that you design? Finding out what the client wants from the garden and its intended use.

Is there a plant that seems to be consistently used in your designs? No as every garden is different

How do your clients cope with looking after their garden once you and your team have left? - They receive good advice as to how to look after the garden.

Advice to would be designers? A sound horticultural knowledge is essential as is a good design course coupled with 'hands-on' experience.
