Design - We are a creative company, specialising in spatial design.  Any type of project - large, small, commercial or residential.  Our main driver is designing to the sort of 'feeling' our clients wish to achieve, be it relaxing, invigorating, educational, impressive etc.

Background – As a team we have varied and complementary backgrounds, encompassing various design and creative disciplines (including art and interiors) alongside project management, customer service and business skills and experience.  We have designed and built a show garden for RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and given design and garden doctoring seminars for BBC Good Homes Show.

Most exciting garden designed - Caribbean influence garden in Surrey using exciting and leading edge materials to create a low maintenance family garden.

What inspires you about each garden that you design? - Interestingly it can be something seemingly small which eventually pulls the design inspiration together - it could be an existing plant or sculpture the client has, or a scent they particularly like, or even a painting, which was the case for the caribbean garden.

How do your clients cope with looking after their garden once you have left? - Some already have gardeners; we can help with finding a maintenance gardener or provide advice for the clients to look after things themselves.  This aspect is obviously fairly key to the design, as we design with how much maintenance they want to cope with in advance.

Advice to would be designers - We offer work experience so that would-be designers can get a real feel of how we work.  Try companies locally to see if they offer this.
