Most exciting garden you've designed yet? - A small courtyard garden comprising a small swimming pool and raised pond, the design was set at 45 degrees to the house and allowed for interesting areas of 'tropical' plants.
Is there a plant that seems to be consistently used in your designs? Fatsia japonica, great architectural plant as at home in a traditional or contemporary scheme.
How do your clients cope with looking after their garden once you and your team have left? Generally advice given to them during design/build serves them well.
What is the average time scale for a typical garden? From consultation to initial concepts 1 week. From concept decision to completed design a further 2 weeks.
Advice to would be designers? - Ensure that you have a thorough grounding in all constructional detailing; garden design is as much a science as an art form.
