Most exciting garden you’ve designed yet? Every single garden I design is exciting to me, but exhibiting and building at Tatton was probably the most exciting.

What inspires you about each garden that you design? - Getting inside the head of the client, visualising there dream gardens and creating it for them.

Is there a plant that seems to be consistently used in your designs? Fatsia Japonica (Caster Oil Plant)

How do your clients cope with looking after their garden once you and your team have left? A maintenance scheme can be provided if needed, and help finding a gardener.

What is the average time scale for a typical garden? From 1 month up to a year.

Advice to would be designers? Go to college, get inspiration from garden shows and TV programmes, read lots of books and don't be shy to approach established garden / landscape designers, I tagged along with a few when studying it was a real source of inspiration for me.
