The Holker Festival - which takes place between 30th May and 1st June this year - will be a feast for all the senses.
A celebration of horticulture, food and the countryside, this highly regarded show is one of the biggest events on the Northern calendar.
There will be the usual mix of trade stands, horticultural displays and delicious locally produced foods as well as a Patio Container Competition on the theme of ‘A summer display”.
Channel 4’s The City Gardener, Matt James, will be the celebrity guest on Saturday 31st May and he will be giving advice on creating and maintaining an eco-friendly garden.
Matt is the new face of contemporary gardening - his love of trees and his use of eco-friendly materials and methods appealed to Lord and Lady Cavendish when they were looking for a gardener to visit the Festival, which this year aims to be the biggest and greenest to date.

Holker’s own stunning gardens will be open during the Festival. Log onto www.holker.co.uk for information about the Festival, tickets and admission prices etc. The Festival runs from Friday 30th May until Sunday 1st June.
