The Children's Society's debut garden
Punk legend Iggy Pop is gatecrashing the traditional gardening world by inspiring The Children’s Society’s debut garden, ‘Lust for Life’. At the heart of The Children’s Society’s garden, an arc of water pulses in rhythmic bursts to the beat of the Iggy Pop song – Lust for Life.
Iggy said of the garden: "Lust for Life is full of optimism as young people should be – but too many aren't. I'’m honoured that The Children's Society’s garen is inspired by my music and wholeheartedly support the work that they do – they rock!

Hardy Plant Society Jubilee Party
Chelsea will prove a festive occasion for The Hardy Plant Society which celebrates its 50th Birthday this year. The Society’s Chelsea exhibit will commemorate the occasion and will also pay tribute to their late President, Alan Bloom, one of the founders of the Society.
The Golden Jubilee of the Society dictates the theme – a party but who to invite? Designer Barbara Stalbow had the idea of inviting plants as guests and to stage them in island beds as a fitting tribute to Alan. The exhibit will take the form of a circular open-sided and open-roofed wooden marquee standing on the ground, with a green and gold pennant flying from the apex depicting the dates of the Society. Party guests will be represented by hardy plants.
Always one of the bright spots at Chelsea the Hardy Plant Society’s Golden Jubilee exhibit sounds as exciting as ever. Congratulations to them on reaching this significant milestone.
